Printmaking

I work with various printmaking methods from lino cutting, wood engraving, etching and screen printing. My speciality is screen printing, which I have been doing for over 20 years. I make my prints by hand drawing the positives using a variety of materials to create interesting layers, these are then exposed onto a screen using light sensitive emulsion. I then apply ink to the screen and use a squeegee to press the ink through the screen onto the paper, gradually building up layers to make the final image. It can be a long process to create an edition but I love the methodical process of creating prints and the excitement of seeing a finished print after applying the final layer which never gets old.
